Routine Dental Visits

We recommend that you visit our dentist office twice a year so we can ensure your teeth and gums stay healthy. Regular dental visits include:

X-rays

Before your cleaning, we will take dental X-rays of your teeth, gums, and jaw. Our office uses digital X-rays that capture clear pictures of your mouth. With these X-rays, we can see problems like impacted teeth, cavities, and gum disease. We also use X-rays to plan treatment if we find a dental problem or you have a current concern.

Cleanings

One of our dental hygienists will perform a thorough cleaning. First, the hygienist will use a stainless steel tool to scale the teeth. This will remove plaque, tartar, and leftover food from your teeth.

Cleanings are essential because they can clean hard-to-reach areas of your mouth that you may miss when you brush and floss. Only a hygienist can remove tartar from the mouth. The stainless steel dental tools help thoroughly scrape the teeth and gums.

Then, the hygienist uses gritty toothpaste and a high-powered electric brush to polish the teeth to remove surface stains. They will floss between each tooth to remove any leftover debris.

You can also receive a fluoride treatment as a varnish that we paint over each tooth. The fluoride will help remineralize your tooth enamel to help protect them against infection.

Dental Screenings

We offer screenings for oral cancer, cavities, and gum disease. When we look for signs of oral cancer, we will look for red and white patches, chronic mouth sores, and swollen lymph nodes.

Cavities are a common but damaging dental problem. We will look for holes in your enamel, brown spots on teeth, and weakened enamel. Signs of gum disease we look for include bleeding gums, gum recession, and deep gum pockets. We will also measure the depth of your gum pockets.

Dentist Consultation

After your X-rays and cleaning, our dentist will examine your mouth to ensure it’s clean and to look for any problems. You can talk to our dentist about your concerns and ask questions. If we find that you need treatment for a dental concern, our dentist will review the next steps in treatment planning with you.

Patient Resources

Our dental website provides a wealth of information regarding your dental health, our dental services, and our practice. Take some time before your visit to familiarize yourself with our team, our dental care, and what you can expect for specific treatments:

Our Services

We offer comprehensive dental care and an array of advanced cosmetic and restorative solutions that are used to treat dental concerns at the source. Schedule an appointment to explore your treatment options and discover the smile you have always wanted.

Dental Implants

Patients with one or more missing teeth who are looking for a more balanced smile can replace the gaps in their smile with dental implants. Dental implants consist of a titanium post, abutment, and dental crown that are custom-fit to each patient.

This restorative solution not only improves the form and function of a patient’s bite but also provides them with a more balanced smile. We offer complete services for implants under one roof for consistent care and predictable results.

Full and Partial Dentures

If you are missing multiple teeth or have an upper or lower arch of missing teeth you can restore your smile with full or partial dentures. Dentures are a restorative treatment that provides a secure and stable bite for patients with multiple missing teeth. You can prevent shifting and overcrowded teeth with this treatment option.

Botox and Dermal Fillers

Dr. Monroe has advanced training in the use of Botox and dermal fillers. As a dentist, she understands the anatomy of the face. She used this knowledge and training to learn how to safely provide cosmetic injectables.

Botox and fillers can treat common signs of aging. While Botox lessens the appearance of wrinkles, fillers add volume to the face. Botox is also an effective way to relieve face and jaw pain caused by TMJ disorders because it helps relax the facial muscles.
