Professional Teeth Whitening

When you imagine getting a whiter smile at your dentist’s office, this is probably what comes to mind. Professional teeth whitening carries many benefits over the drugstore options. Over the counter whitening usually results in splotchy, uneven treatment. They’re also usually one size fits all, meaning your gums are in danger of coming into contact with the bleaching agent, leading to sensitivity.

At our office, we have both in-office and take-home teeth whitening. In our office, we offer Zoom! whitening. In an hour at our office, you can get teeth up to eight shades whiter. We make sure the soft tissue is protected, and then apply a whitening gel to your teeth. It’s then activated by a special light. The process is repeated to ensure you get the shade you desire.

Take-home whitening is a more gradual process. First, we’ll take impressions of your teeth to make custom whitening trays. These are from Nite White. They use top-quality whitening trays. They’re designed to last a long time without losing their shape. We monitor your progress every 18 days until you’re at the shade you want to be.

Porcelain Veneers

There are certain discolorations and stains that aren’t able to be treated with traditional techniques. Porcelain veneers offer an alternative solution for teeth stained by genetics and certain medications. Veneers are thin shells of dental ceramic that cover the front and sides of your teeth. They’re designed to be durable and stain-resistant, guaranteeing a long-lasting solution.

To get veneers, we’ll remove some of your tooth structure first. We want to make sure the veneers lay flat and flush with the rest of your teeth. Impressions are taken to custom-make the veneers. When they’re back, we fit them to your teeth and make sure they look and feel the way they’re supposed to. If you’re satisfied, they’ll be permanently bonded to your teeth.

Dental Bonding

If you’re looking for an economical solution and aren’t ready for a permanent restoration, dental bonding may be the best choice for you. The bonding material is a composite resin that can be color-matched to the shade you desire. The resin is malleable and can help with cosmetic chips and cracks while whitening your teeth.

For bonding, a minimal amount of tooth structure is removed to ensure the material adheres to your tooth. It’s molded to the shape of your tooth to look natural. When you’re satisfied, a special light will be used to cure and harden the material. It’s then polished to match the sheen of your natural teeth.
